Cricket, football and tennis on one ground, run by volunteers for the village since before the First World War. Four resident clubs, a pavilion with a bar, and a welcome for new players of every age and standard.

Four clubs, one ground

Every club at the Memorial Pavilion is run by volunteers and welcomes new members. Get in touch with the club directly, or come up to the ground on a match day and say hello.

Tennis · Year round

Forest Row Lawn Tennis Club

A friendly club of around 100 members with three all-weather, floodlit courts next to the pavilion. Club sessions, coaching, a singles ladder and social tournaments run through the year, and five teams play in the Weald League. The season ends with a summer tournament and an autumn dinner. Visitors welcome, first session free.

First visit free, then £5 a visit, refunded if you join after three. Turn up to an open session or contact a committee member.

Forest Row Cricket Club

A friendly, sociable and inclusive village club in the heart of the Ashdown Forest. Two Saturday teams play in the Sussex Cricket League, a midweek side plays T20 in the Sussex Slam, and there are occasional Sunday friendlies. New players are welcome, from absolute beginners to competitive standard. Get in touch through social media or the Play-Cricket site to get started.

Forest Row FC

"Frow" was founded in 1892 and is one of the oldest clubs in Sussex. The first team plays in the Southern Combination Premier Division (currently groundsharing at Three Bridges), while the reserves play at the club's spiritual home on Shalesbrook Lane.

Youth football for players from U6 to U23, welcoming all abilities. Teams play and train at the Memorial Pavilion ground and Medway Park. Call for more information about joining.

Pavilion hire

Hire the Memorial Pavilion

When the clubs aren't using it, the pavilion is available to hire for parties, meetings, classes and community events. Hire income goes straight back into maintaining the ground for the village.

  • Function room with bar (licensed bar available by arrangement)
  • Kitchen for catering and refreshments
  • Changing rooms for visiting teams and sports hire
  • Covered verandah overlooking the cricket pitch
  • Off-road parking for around 30 cars, with disabled access
  • Pitches and courts available to visiting clubs by arrangement
